Nike Trails x 4T Trail
Designing a shoe manufactured by Nike, in collaboration with the 4T Trail, located in Portland, Oregon.
The green color-way is inspired by the natural elements of the trail, and the added features, such as the large, textured sole, and two magnetic straps, provide extra stability.
Though not advised to run on the trail at night, there is a reflective fluid located in a capsule on the rear of the shoe, so cars and other people can see you.

Product Posters
I created two product posters for these shoes, and using a toned paper background to and green colors to fit the outdoor nature of the shoes.
Looking closer at the shoes reveals the thick sole meant to aid in traction and comfort, and the magnetic strap allows for adjustability while increasing tightness on the foot.

Bikerack for the Wexner Center For The Arts
I created a concept bike rack for the area between the Wexner Center For The Arts, and Timashev Family Music Building located on Ohio State Universities campus.
The bike rack solves three problems: bikes being to cramped and scratching, not utilizing the space well, and not holding the bike sturdily.

Features
The rack features a seat on the opposite side of the front wheel slot, as well as a planter on the side of the rack, which offsets the green space taken away from each rack, and also adds increased privacy for the seat.
Using icons of a bike and a helmet, the purpose and orientation of the bike is clear, and the primary colors pay homage to the artistic nature of the site.
The main goal of this rack was to create a "place" rather than a "space". I wanted to make somewhere people wanted to go TO, rather than just be somewhere people stopped by to go somewhere else.

Design Aesthetic
Designing a sink to be featured in the MoMa Design Store, created a sink which meshes calm Zen aesthetics with more rigid industrial forms. Inspired by Japanese paintings with mountains and nature, the basic form of the sink resembles a bonsai tree growing out of the stone.
The sink basin itself features a floating design of a sand garden, with the sand serving as the drain, and the rocks being the knobs to turn on the flow of water.

Design Aesthetic
A closer look into the Bonsai shape of the faucet, I designed it to have a matte appearance, potentially made from metal piping, with a soft touch hard rubber exterior. The water fills up the most forward three "leaves", and spills out in a waterfall motion to provide a calming hand washing experience.
A backlit view highlights the harsh contours with of the stone, and accentuates the sink basin almost growing out of it.
I wanted to make the sink a mix of industrial materials and forms, but with a message and feeling rooted in Zen aesthetics.

Design Aesthetic
This birdhouse had two main purposes, primarily to design a home specifically for an Elf Owl, and secondly to incorporate the design language of MIO Culture. The main body is rendered to appear as steam pressed felt for the green pattern, with the panels underneath being crafted out of cork.

Design Aesthetic
An important part of this project was to master lighting and in creating a visual that appeared real. I experimented with duplication and key lights in this project to create some "professional shots". As seen on the right, I rendered the background branch with the birdhouse in Keyshot, and added the bird later in Photoshop.

Design Aesthetic
Below are some early renderings I completed, with the pencil being my first ever attempt at Keyshot. Though not perfect, I believe they are still important to display growth. From these trials, I learned how to light my scenes better, use materiality to my advantage, and choose camera angles more precisely.
