GET TO

KNOW

ME.

I'm Connor, an Industrial Designer who has three

design related goals.

[1] - Design

for

beauty.

It is my view that any designed item should be beautiful. I strive to make every piece I make worthy of a smile. Design can be so many things, so why not make it beautiful?

[2] - Design

for

needs.

[3] - Design for

those

who

notice.

Interests At The Moment:

[1] ESPRESSO

I have been fascinated with Espresso for about a year now, and find myself drawn to the precision required to master it, as well as the multitude of products available for the craft.

Each machine brings it's own unique flair to making espresso, and I love seeing how different brands create design differently to fit the same criteria.

[2] "Spacial Industrial Design"

I am intrigued with the idea of designing spaces for people to enjoy. Take for example a Disney hotel. While architecture and interior design plays a large role there, many of the elements and features that bring the space to life were designed by an industrial designer.

I am fascinated by this area of design, and would like to explore it further. Fitting with my goals, I feel that I would make these areas beautiful and with many small elements that only those who take the to time to admire will notice, almost like an easter egg.

Though I used Disney as an example, I feel that more spaces outside of theme parks could use these elements of design. Think street corners, parks, or even just stores, there are so many opportunities to make things feel more "real" and magical in everyday life, so why not?

[3] Peripherals and Daily Accessories

Having good tools that make your life easier, or small "trinkets" that simply provide happiness when used is an experience I believe everyone deserves to have.

As I dive deeper in my design career, these smaller tools and accessories will be an area I will continuously look at, as sometimes these small items are what allow people to create their own personal aesthetic and sense of self, or simply provide them an item that will make them smile or appreciate the "action of doing" while using it.
